From unruly passengers to drug smugglers, airport security often deals with a lot. But probably in a first, airport security in the US detained a woman who tried to sneak in a four-foot boa constrictor snake in her hand luggage claiming it was her 'emotional support animal'.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents at the Tampa International Airport stopped a woman when they noticed a snake in her hand luggage while going through the X-ray scanners.
Boa constrictors are non-venomous snakes that can grow up to 13 feet long.
Tampa International Airport shared a photo of the x-ray scan on their official Instagram account and wrote: "Our officers at Tampa International Airport didn’t find this hyssssssterical! Coiled up in a passenger’s carry-on was a 4’ boa constrictor! We really have no adder-ation for discovering any pet going through an x-ray machine."
