Dubai: The Dubai Police is yet to solve the murder mystery of a women whose headless and handless body was found on May 25 in International City.
The Dubai Police called on the public to help identify the woman.
Forensics teams are trying to identify the woman, the circumstances of her death and the motives for her murder.
A municipality sweeper had found the body on May 25 in a plastic cover near University Road in Al Warqa.
Police officials earlier said no fingerprints were available that can be used to identify the decomposed body.
In the meanwhile, residents of the development off Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road said they were shocked to hear about the grisly find.
However, they said they were not worried about their personal safety and security as these types of crime rarely happen in Dubai and police continuously patrol the area.
Yssa Mallorca, 38, from the Philippines, has been living in the area for seven years.
“I see them when I go jogging at night and I never feel afraid walking alone even if it’s 1am," Mallorca told The National.
