He was pulled from the car by marshals as fire extinguishers made sure that another wreckage did not burst into flames.
AlphaTauri driver Daniil Kvyat is under investigation for causing the accident at Lap 8. He appears to have clipped Stroll’s tyre, causing the flip.
Kvyat was also involved in the earlier incident in which Haas driver Romain Grosjean crashed into the barrier causing the race to be delayed and his car to burst into flames.

The Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix was stopped after Haas driver Romain Grosjean's car caught fire after a collision.
His car clipped the Alpha Tauri driven by Daniil Kvyat and hit a barrier on lap one before it split in two and burst into flames.
Grosjean managed to scrambled out of the wreckage with the help of a brave marshal.
He was placed on a stretcher and taken away by ambulance. It is understood that he suffered a suspected broken rib in addition to burns on his hands and ankles. He is being treated in hospital.
Haas team principal Guenther Steiner said: "Romain is doing okay, I don't want to make a medical comment but he had light burns on his hands and ankles. Obviously he's shaken ... I want to thank the rescue crews who are very quick. The marshals and FIA people did a great job, it was scary."
Waiting for the restart in pole position, world champion Lewis Hamilton said: "I'm so grateful Romain is safe. Wow ... the risk we take is no joke, for those of you out there that forget that we put our life on the line for this sport and for what we love to do. Thankful to the FIA for the massive strides we've taken for Romain to walk away from that safely."
Grosjean achieved his first ever podium driving for Lotus at the Sakhir circuit in 2012.
