Baghdad: The authorities in Baghdad have barred Al Arabiya and Al Hadath TV news channels from working in the Iraqi territories on pretext that they don’t have the required licences.
An Iraqi police force asked the reporters of both TV news channels to stop any media coverage of developments in the country.
The ban was imposed on Al Arabiya and Al Hadath amid mounting protests which spread to several Iraqi cities.
Masked, armed men have stormed the office of Al Arabiya earlier this month in Baghdad and assaulted employees, which left some of them injured.
