Kuwaiti authorities have increased security measures at churches marking the Holy Week and Easter.
The Ministry of Interior has informed all churches about the new measures, urging cooperation.
The police will be deployed at the entrances of churches and and security checks of church members' belongings would be conducted.
The ministry has also announced that it will not henceforth allow any religious gatherings to be held in areas apart from places of worship.
