His Majesty King Hamad ratified and issued Law (15) of 2025, amending Article (20) of Law (8) of 2009 on combating smoking and all types of tobacco, following its approval by the Shura Council and Parliament.
According to the law, Article (20) of Law (8) of 2009 shall be replaced with the following:
Without prejudice to stricter penalties prescribed in the Penal Code or any other legislation:
A fine of not less than BD20 and not exceeding BD50 shall be imposed on any person violating the provisions of Article (4) of this law .
