VOLLEYBALL – Muharraq cruised to a well-deserved victory over Nabih Saleh last night in three sets in the Top Six round of the 2024-25 Isa Bin Rashid Bahrain Volleyball League.
Muharraq overcame a tough challenge from their rivals to come away with the all-important win with a 3-0 (25-23, 27-25, 25-13) final score line. Playing key roles for the winners were Nasser Anan, Sayed Hashem Isa, Abbas Al Khabbaz, Mohammed Omar, Mahmood Alafyah, Hussain Ehsan, and Swedish professional Jacob Link.
They did well to stave off any potential fightback from Nabih Saleh, particularly in a dominant third set.
With the result, Muharraq posted their third win in five games while handing Nabih Saleh their fourth loss to go with just one win.
The Top Six of the league is being played in a double round-robin. Matches in the second phase begin from Wednesday.
This stage will detemine the match-ups in this season’s Golden Square semi-finals.
