HANDBALL – BARBAR and Al Ittifaq were both triumphant in their concluding preliminary round matches in the 2024-25 Khalid Bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League.
Barbar edged past Tubli 37-34 at the Bahrain Handball Federation Arena in Um Al Hassam, while Ittifaq secured a similar 33-30 win against Al Ettihad at Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town.
The result earned Barbar their fifth win in 10 games as they improved to 22 points on the league table, where they also have two draws and three losses. Tubli suffered their sixth loss to go with three wins and a draw to go to 17 points on the standings.
Ittifaq, meanwhile, scored a crucial fourth win in 10 games to go to 18 points and break into the league’s top eight. That was at the expense of Ettihad, who were handed their sixth defeat to go with two victories and two stalemates to finish this stage of the league with 16 points.
The league is now headed to the Top Eight round.
