BASKETBALL – THE draw for the quarter-finals of the 2025 Khalifa Bin Salman Cup was held last night to determine the opening match-ups for the eight participating teams.
The field includes the six clubs who are currently competing in the Premier League of the 2024-25 Zain Bahrain Basketball League, along with the top two from this season’s League B.
In attendance at the draw, held during the Bahrain Basketball Association’s (BBA) annual Ramadan ghabga, were BBA president Alaa Mudara, other BBA officials, and representatives from the clubs.
The draw has pitted the top-ranked Premier League team at the end of the league’s preliminary round against the third-ranked Premier League team; the sixth-ranked Premier League team against the second-ranked League B team; the second-ranked Premier League team against the fifth-ranked Premier League side; and the fourth-ranked Premier League club against the League B leaders.
The teams in the Premier League are Manama, Al Ahli, Muharraq, Al Hala, Al Najma, and Al Ettihad; while the League B squads are Nuwaidrat, Samaheej, Sitra, Isa Town, and Bahrain Club.
