MMA – BRAVE Combat Federation’s featherweight division has an exciting new addition, as the organisation has announced the signing of Filipino superstar Drex Zamboanga.
Having started his mixed martial arts (MMA) career in 2011, Zamboanga is a two-time regional MMA champion and has been an active name in the MMA scene for more than a decade. He currently holds a professional MMA record of 14 wins and six losses, with 12 of his victories coming by finish.
Beyond MMA, Zamboanga is also a karate champion who has competed across Asia. He holds a black belt in sentou karate and a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and is a gold-medallist at the Pan Asian No-Gi Grappling Championship.
Having secured four wins in his last five fights, Zamboanga enters the stacked featherweight division, which saw plenty of action in 2024.
Nemat Abdrashitov currently reigns as the division’s champion, with contenders like Omar Solomanov, Rauan Bekbolat, and Roman Bogatov chasing a title shot. Zamboanga will be looking to break through these challengers and position himself as a top contender.
The signing also strengthens BRAVE CF’s thriving relationship with the Philippines. Fighters like Stephen Loman, Rolando Dy, and Jeremy Pacatiw rose to global superstardom under the BRAVE CF banner.
Zamboanga also joins the long list of recent signings by BRAVE CF, setting the stage for an exciting 2025 in the organisation.
