Jimmy Donaldson, who goes by the name ’MrBeast’ on his YouTube channel, has released an epic 21-minute video of his 100-hour-long adventure touring the Egyptian Pyramids of Giza.
The video is going viral, and people are questioning MrBeast’s “unrestricted access to all the great pyramids of Egypt.”
In the video itself, MrBeast boasts, “I somehow have unrestricted access to all the great pyramids of Egypt.’’
Before the video's release, MrBeast claimed to have "rented" the pyramids for a total of 100 hours. However, Egypt's Tourism and Antiquities Ministry stated that "he was granted permission to film outside of regular hours, the historical sites remained open to the public during this time," as reported by The National newspaper.
Throughout the escapade, MrBeast is accompanied by friends Chandler Hallow, Karl Jacobs, and Nolan Hansen. They are guided by well-known Egyptologists, including Ramy Romany and Zahi Hawass, who provide a knowledgeable yet entertaining experience.
The group ventures into the ancient, seldom-seen areas, including the submerged Tomb of Osiris as well as a concealed chamber beneath the Sphinx. “I cannot believe I’m entering the Sphinx. I want to see if that temple’s real,” MrBeast commented during the undertaking.
The video has currently gained upwards of 58,700,000 views and 2.6 million likes!
