British popstar Ed Sheeran had his show on the streets of Bengaluru, India, stopped by police, citing that he didn't have the proper permissions.
The busting of the busking took place when Ed Sheeran did an impromptu show ahead of his scheduled tour in Bengaluru.
Sheeran initially resisted, insisting that he had the permissions, but eventually gave in. He later reiterated on Instagram, "We had permission to busk, by the way. Hence, our playing in that exact spot was planned out beforehand. It wasn't just us randomly turning up. It's all good, though. See you at the show tonight."
Videos of police unplugging his microphone and stopping his show went viral, with fans outraged about the incident.
