Muscat - The Shura Council today discussed, during its fourth regular session of the second regular sitting of the tenth term, the draft law on “Combating Human Trafficking” and the draft law on “Real Estate Regulation”. The session was headed by Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council.
During the session, the Legislative and Legal Committee of the Council reviewed the draft law to combat human trafficking. It discussed the meetings and hosts with those concerned at Oman Human Rights Commission, and those concerned at the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking.
The Public Services and Utilities Committee presented a general overview of the draft law on real estate regulation, which consists of (64) articles divided into (9) chapters.
The session included discussion on the proposed draft law for the Sports, Cultural and Youth Activities Support Fund, based on Article (48) of the Council of Oman’s Law.
The session also discussed a proposed draft amendment to the law on private bodies operating in the sports field, for the Youth and Human Resources Committee of the Council.
The session included discussion on the desire proposed to the Youth and Human Resources Committee pertaining to the establishment of a center for Omani talents, which aims to discover talents and provide appropriate opportunities to hone these talents.
