An Egyptian woman was rescued after being discovered in chains in a dark room where she spent the last six years of her life.
Police discovered her after the victim's mother called them to report that her daughter was kidnapped by her husband's brother.
All this while, the mother believed that her daughter was living with her uncles and didn't suspect any wrongdoing.
The complaint prompted the police officers to investigate the uncle's house.
While investigating, a small secret room was found in the house. Upon opening it, they found the 25-year-old woman chained up to the wall.
Further investigation revealed that the woman was locked up by her uncles and stepbrother to 'prevent perversion' after her father passed away.
The debilitated victim was taken to a hospital for medical attention.
The uncles and stepbrother were arrested and have been referred to the public prosecution.
