There are 41,000 civil servants in Bahrain out of which 6,390 are expatriates who are mainly employed in the health and education sector, it has been revealed.
Civil Service Commission chief Shaikh Daij bin Salman Al Khalifa told MPs, in writing, that 1,385 Bahrainis were recruited on temporary contracts for civil service jobs between January and November 2023 .
