Credibility and loyalty are two of the most important values that contribute to building trust and strengthening relationships, whether in the work environment or in personal and family life. They are considered the cornerstone of any successful and sustainable dealing.
Credibility means commitment to honesty and integrity in words and actions and avoiding hypocrisy. When a person is honest, he builds a bridge of trust between him and others. In the workplace, a trustworthy employee gains the respect of his colleagues and superiors, which boosts co-operation and productivity. In personal relationships, credibility is the basis for mutual understanding and respect, as others feel safe knowing that the other person will always be honest and frank, and even transparent in his proposals.
Loyalty also means commitment to promises and loyalty to others. In the workplace, loyalty is demonstrated by commitment to work tasks and contributing to achieving the message and goals of the team or institution. It also means supporting colleagues and fulfilling professional promises. In personal and family relationships, loyalty is manifested in commitment to relationships and supporting friends or family in times of need. In addition to emphasising continuous communication between family members who are considered relatives.
Trust is the essence of any successful relationship, and credibility and loyalty are the two basic values to achieve it. Also, enhancing the reputation of trustworthy and loyal individuals gains a positive reputation, whether in society or in the work environment.
Values such as honesty and loyalty create an environment full of respect and co-operation which enhances satisfaction and happiness for everyone.
However, the question that arises is: How can we enhance credibility and loyalty? I can summarise it as:
Honesty in word and deed by adhering to the facts and avoiding lying or falsification.
Fulfilling promises, whether big or small.
It is also very important to clarify and confront matters and not evade responsibilities.
It is also very necessary to stand by colleagues or friends in times of crisis. In addition to taking responsibility for mistakes and working to correct them.
I am very saddened by the lack of commitment of many colleagues and friends to those noble values that are mentioned in our true Islamic religion! We find many of them who claim to be committed to religion, but in return they do not adhere to the minimum qualities of honesty, loyalty and sincerity in their dealings with others, whether they are colleagues or their subordinates. Not to mention their malicious positions in making unfair decisions against many.
In conclusion, honesty and loyalty are two indispensable values in all aspects of life. They are not limited to being virtuous morals only, but they are also tools for building strong relationships and achieving success on a personal and professional level. Commitment to these two values reflects the maturity of the personality and the depth of sincerity, which makes the person a good role model and a source of trust for everyone around him or her.
