A rethink has been asked by the government on a new standalone law for artificial intelligence (AI) which stipulates punishments of no less than three years in jail or fines of up to BD2,000 for violations.
In a letter from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, referred with the law, originally proposed by the Shura Council, the Cabinet pointed out complications that were not being addressed .
