The Saudi National Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha) revealed that it had arrested 139 government officials on corruption charges, including bribery, abuse of power, and money laundering.
Nazaha revealed that it had conducted 2,950 rounds of oversight inspections during August. These inspections led to 380 officials currently being investigated and 139 officials being sentenced to jail for corruption charges.
The officials included employees from the Ministries of Interior, Defense, Justice, Health, Education, and Housing, as well as the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority.
