HONOURING – Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) chief executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa congratulated yesterday BIC’s events senior manager Sadiq Kalawadh for being honoured with a prestigious award at the annual FIA Prize Giving ceremony, held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Kalawadh was named the FIA Outstanding Official of the Year, recognising the role he plays as one of the leading figures in the kingdom’s motorsport community, working with BIC as well as the Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF).
On the occasion, Shaikh Salman commented: “I offer my congratulations to Sadiq for this tremendous honour from the FIA.
“His award is in recognition of the endless hours, dedication and passion he has put in over the years in the many responsibilities he undertakes in our motorsport family in Bahrain.
“We wish Sadiq even further success in the future and may this award be an inspiration to others in the Kingdom to become involved in our beloved sport.”
On his part, Kalawadh said: “I am sincerely honoured and thankful to the FIA for being presented this incredible award.
“I thank all my colleagues at BMF and the BIC, particularly BMF President Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa and BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, along with my loving family and the Bahraini Marshalls, for all the tremendous support and inspiration. This wonderful achievement would not have been possible without them.”
