FOOTBALL – BAHRAIN senior men’s football national team continued to count the days down to their game against Japan on Thursday in the third round of Asian qualification for the Fifa World Cup 2026.
The kingdom’s squad trained last night in Tokyo under the supervision of head coach Dragan Talajic at the external pitches of Saitama Stadium 2002, which will host their upcoming match.
The session included ball drills and work on tactical schemes. Thursday’s contest is scheduled for a 1.35pm kick-off, Bahrain time. Following that game, the Bahrainis take on Indonesia on Tuesday next week in Jakarta.
They then play their last two qualifiers against Saudi Arabia at home on June 5 and then against China away on June 10. Left, Bahrain players carry the goal posts during last night’s training.
