Jeddah - The cultural program accompanying the second edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale, held at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, presented a unique interactive exhibition on the stages of creating and preserving the Holy Kaaba's Kiswa. The 30-minute educational experience stands as one of the most notable Ramadan cultural activities associated with the biennale.
The exhibition invites attendees to explore the Kiswa's creation process, including calligraphy printing, sewing, gilding, and perfuming, as well as the tools for Kaaba cleansing and a historical overview from 1927 to modern manufacturing techniques.
Featuring the documentary films "I Am Unique" and "Kiswa (Cover) of the Kaaba," the experience is enriching, providing visitors with a deeper understanding of this ancient Islamic heritage.
