A call has gone out for an open debate on the electronic Haj registration system, with a group of MPs expressing concern over the alleged lack of transparency in the selection process.
Ten MPs, led by Parliament services committee vice-chairman Mohammed Al Olaiwi, have urged the government to outline the mechanism being adopted to allocate seats for this year’s pilgrimage, and the criteria for approving Haj operators .
