The Red Sea International Company NEOM in Saudi Arabia has purchased its first batch of eight hydro-foiling electric ships from the Swedish manufacturer of sustainable, electric hydrofoil vessels, Candela. These ships are expected to be delivered in 2025 and early 2026, and they are intended for use in Saudi Arabia's sustainable 'megacity project'.
Gustav Hasselskog, the CEO of Candela, stated that "the P-12 is designed to create zero-emission water transport systems with significant improvements over traditional water commuting."
