King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence board chairman Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa participated in the celebration organised by Muslim Council of Elders on the inauguration of its branch in Kazakhstan, on the sidelines of his participation in the 21st session of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions Congress.
Dr Shaikh Abdulla said that the opening of the branch in the Central Asian region represented a new platform for inter-faith and cultural dialogue and communication with a region characterised by a long history and cultural heritage .
