The Kuwaiti Government has submitted its resignation to the Amir Shaikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, a senior official announced yesterday.
The announcement was made by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Oil, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr Mohammad Al Fares, following an extraordinary cabinet session, held at Seif Palace, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
Dr Al Fares told KUNA that the cabinet had referred its resignation to the Amir following declaration of the parliamentary election results.
He added that the ministers had adopted a draft decree calling on the National Assembly to hold the first regular session of the 17th legislative term on October 11. It was also referred to the Amir.
