Creatives eager to preserve the 45-million-year-old natural landmark Wadi Al Buhair are gathering yet again at the valley this Saturday to capture its beauty on canvas, paper and film.
Videographers, painters, poets, photographers or other nature lovers have been invited to join the Art x Wadi Al Buhair event at 4pm at The View Mall to document their impressions in any medium or creative form they wish. “You don’t have to be an artist to make art – simply come to the valley, enjoy the sunset and express yourself,” said one of the organisers. “We’ll bring some canvases and paint to share, but please bring your own supplies if you can. We will be leaving no trace behind, so make sure to account for a way to properly dispose of your finished items afterwards.”
This is the sixth week campaigners will be gathering at the valley they fear may become a mall and aim to continue meeting in Buhair every Saturday.
