Riyadh: The customs authorities thwarted a bid to smuggle a large quantity of liquor at Al-Batha’a entry checkpoint.
The officers checked a shipment of clothes loaded onto a heavy truck as it was entering Saudi territories and seized 12,119 bottles of wine.
Al-Batha’a Customs director-general Abdulrahman Al-Mehanna said that the case was referred to competent authorities, commending officers for their dedication and alertness.
