Riyadh: Security authorities in Cairo will extradite a Saudi national to Kuwait for his alleged involvement in multi-million dinar fraud cases.
Kuwaiti press reports said that the runaway fraudster, known by his initials M.H. Al-Mutairi, is wanted in cases relating to issuing dud cheques and other fraud cases of worth KD10 million.
The reports also said that the Interpol is expected to extradite the fugitive to Kuwait within few days.
He will be questioned by the Public Prosecution for allegedly conning more than 200 people, mostly Kuwaitis.
Kuwaiti Interior Ministry Public Relations and Security Media Brigadier Adel Al-Hashah said that 23 plaintiffs have so far filed lawsuits against the Saudi fugitive.
Meanwhile, Kuwaiti Arabic newspaper Alanba said that the amount is estimated to exceed KD15 million.
