HUNDREDS of people have lost their jobs in Bahrain’s banking sector in the last few months due to the “global financial situation”, it has emerged.
The Bankers Union told the GDN it has been inundated with complaints from Bahraini and expatriate employees, who claim to have been made redundant because of “the restructuring process of leading international banks” .
