The incident took place in Punjab, India, where two young pups fell into a well.
The owner discovered that they had fallen in the well as the mother stood barking at the edge of the shallow well.
Fortunately, the well was almost dry else the pups would have drowned. However, the bad news was that the pups were stuck in the well with a deadly King Cobra.

Surprisingly, the cobra thought that the moving rope was a threat to him and attacked the rope. Unbelievably, the cobra not only protecting himself but also the pups from the rope.
When the owner moved the rope between him and the pups, the cobra quickly moved backward towards the pups and attack the rope again.
Yes, the cobra seemed to be guarding the pups from the rope!
People who gathered around the well did not have the courage to save the pups because of the snake. The pups and the snake remained in the well for 48 hrs, until the forest authorities came.
They rescued the pups and the snake was released into the forest.
