Preparations are underway to open the Doha Festival City on April 5. The QR6 billion investment will be the latest addition to the retail and entertainment sectors in Qatar, according to QNA.
Featuring a total area of 433,000 square metres, it will include the biggest mall in Qatar and one of the largest entertainment and retail developments in the Gulf.
The landmark development will also feature four theme parks - Juniverse, Virtuocity, Angry Birds World and Snow Dunes. It will have 8,000 parking spots, a five-star hotel and a conference centre that will open in 2018.
General manager of Doha Festival City Mall Trevor Hill said that they are committed to providing the best entertainment experience for visitors. The mall is expected to receive 20 million visits a year.
