Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has appointed an interim board of directors for Al Ahli Sports Club through Edict 22 of 2025.
The interim board of the 2025–2026 term will be chaired by Khalid Ibrahim Ali Kanoo with Yousif Hassan Yousif Al Arabi, Bader Nasser Mohamed Hussain, Bashara Abdo Fath Al Rahman Bashara, Nawaf Fouad Abdulali Al Jishi, Tariq Mohamed Ali Taqi, Mohamed Nabeel Salem Abdulla Al Shurooqi, and Adnan Ibrahim Abdulla Showaiter as members.
Shaikh Khalid issued Edict 21 of 2025 to dissolve the Bahrain Schools and Collegiate Athletic Association which was registered under entry number 27 with the GSA.
With the Edict 20 of 2025, Shaikh Khalid dissolved the Bahraini Deaf Club which was registered under entry number 40 with the GSA.
The edict was issued as part of regulatory procedures by the General Sports Authority concerning the status of clubs under its supervision.
