A bizarre incident took place in the town of Köniz, Switzerland: a flying duck appears to be a repeat offender on the same street.
Local authorities confirmed that speed cameras snapped a wild duck on the radar on April 13, clocking in at 52 km/h (32 mph) in a 30 km/h zone. What makes this case even more amusing is that local authorities believe the same duck was likely a ‘repeat offender’ as their cameras had previously snapped an identical flying duck travelling in 2018 at the exact same spot, travelling at the same speed and on the same date!
The Köniz officials posted about the ‘notorious racer’ on their Facebook post, with the caption “We wish you a lot of fun musing about curious coincidences, criminal machinations of animals and the maximum flight speed of ducks.”
Witty comments have flooded social media, with many questioning what the penalty for the “racer duck’s” misconduct is.
