Bahrain Motor Federation chairman and FIA Middle East and North Africa vice-president Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa has affirmed that the success of the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix once again confirms Bahrain’s global status and the tremendous human capabilities it possesses.
He described the success as an outcome of the efforts made by Team Bahrain since 2004 when the Formula 1 race was launched in the region.
“Once again, Bahrain and its international circuit have hosted an exciting, thrilling and entertaining Formula 1 race. The Bahrain Grand Prix has achieved yet another milestone, drawing a massive crowd of spectators. This motivates us with even greater determination to continue our path towards excellence, driven by the unity and collaboration of all citizens and the various entities and institutions in the kingdom,” he said.
“The event received widespread praise from FIA officials, the Formula 1 Championship organisers, and everyone who followed the race, including international media outlets, all of whom commended the exceptional level of organisation and professionalism.
“The citizens of Bahrain demonstrated a high degree of expertise and showcased the kingdom’s national capabilities and world-class infrastructure. This has further reinforced Bahrain’s distinguished position in motorsports and its growing role in hosting major international sporting events,” Shaikh Abdulla noted.
