Several direct flights between Bahrain and London Heathrow Airport have been cancelled and delayed in the aftermath of an electricity substation fire that shut down one of the world’s busiest airports.
More than 1,000 international flights from and to London were cancelled, with another 120 diverted to European cities like Amsterdam and Paris, as passengers were told to expect disruption throughout the weekend .
