GOLF – The Clutch Pro Tour and Visit Morocco announced yesterday a partnership that will see Visit Morocco become the official tourism partner of Clutch Pro Tour for the 2025 season, which gets underway in Al Ain this week.
Since 2019 and the tour’s formation, Clutch Pro Tour has rapidly grown into one of the leading development platforms in world golf, obtaining Official World Golf Ranking accreditation and becoming an official satellite tour to the HotelPlanner Tour and DP World Tour.
Among its most well-known victors is four-time DP World Tour winner Andy Sullivan, who triumphed in the 2020 Clutch Pro Tour Major at Stoneham Golf Club in a play-off against Richard Bland.
The growth of the tour – and its footprint in Morocco – comes as part of the long-term development strategy of the tour, with more events planned in Morocco, as well as a key new tournament in the UAE, the UAE Championship at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club, teeing off today. It will see the winner qualify for the upcoming Abu Dhabi Challenge on the HotelPlanner Tour next month, as well as pocketing £8,000 ($10,400) in prize money.
