Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa met members of the organising committee of the Bahrain Ministry of Interior (MOI) Tennis Challenger.
The meeting was led by the tournament’s general supervisor Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
The Interior Minister said that the Bahrain MOI Tennis Challenger winning the Best Asia-Pacific Championship Award is a recognition of the kingdom’s sporting achievements.
He highlighted the support of His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in advancing the sports sector.
The Interior Minister commended the efforts of His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and SCYS first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in achieving international success.
He congratulated the committee on the success of the tournament’s fourth edition, and emphasised the importance of maintaining this achievement and enhancing future editions.
The Interior Minister expressed appreciation to the committee members, volunteers, and Public Security Officers Club staff for their efforts. He commended Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid for overseeing the tournament, enhancing teamwork, and ensuring its success.
