Bahraini families waiting for government housing could receive their BD100 monthly housing allowance backdated for the past five months after MPs unanimously approved an urgent proposal.
The proposal submitted by five MPs led by Hanan Fardan will be now referred to the Cabinet, and it seeks to compensate families who were temporarily denied the allowance due to a request from the Housing and Urban Planning Ministry for status and income updates over the period .
