SHOWJUMPING – HUSSAIN Dadullah from the Interior Ministry team won the Grand Prix category in the two-star Nasser bin Hamad International Showjumping Championship, organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF).
Ahmed Mansoor from the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) team secured second place while Dadullah came third riding another horse.
Dadullah also won the medium category, followed by Mohammed Saif and Saber Salman from the BDF team. Maayouf Al Rumaihi won the small category, with Sultan Al Rumaihi second and Bader Janahi third.
The championship was held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad’s humanitarian work and youth affairs representative and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
It was attended by Supreme Council for Environment vice-president, Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club High Committee deputy chairman, and SCYS member Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Faisal commended the competition’s high level, attributing the sport’s growth to the support of Shaikh Nasser and the follow-up of SCYS first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He commended the efforts of the organising committees and congratulated the winners.
The championship was supported by sponsors including Bapco Energies, Al Salam Bank, Binayeh, STC, CSS, Alba, Bahrain Bank, the Economic Development Board, Bahrain Marina, and Dr Nael Al Hazeem Medical Centre.
