FOOTBALL – Youth Affairs Minister Rawan Tawfiqi met a delegation from the Official Liverpool Supporters Club Bahrain at the ministry’s headquarters.
The delegation included the club’s honorary president Dr Dheya Tawfiqi, club chairman Fahad Alabbasi, and board members.
The meeting focused on exploring ways to enhance collaboration to support youth and sports activities in the kingdom.
The delegation discussed the club’s vision and future plans since its establishment in 2013. They highlighted its role in organising sports and social events targeting Bahraini youth, emphasising the importance of partnership between the ministry and the club to develop programmes that nurture youth skills and promote a sports culture.
Dr Tawfiqi praised the ministry’s efforts in supporting youth and sports, stressing the significance of joint co-operation to create a sustainable sports environment that benefits Bahraini society.
The Youth Affairs Minister expressed her appreciation for the positive role played by the club in empowering youth through sports and social activities. She affirmed the ministry’s readiness to support initiatives that benefit the youth sector and enhance teamwork.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the club delegation presented a commemorative gift to Minister Tawfiqi as a gesture of appreciation for the ministry’s support of sports and youth, reaffirming their commitment to fruitful co-operation in the future.
