Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa issued Edict 3 of 2025 regarding the formation of the Supreme Organising Committee for Bahrain’s hosting of the third Asian Youth Games this year.
Article 1
The Supreme Organising Committee shall be formed under the chairmanship of Shaikh Khalid and include the following members: BOC vice president Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, deputy chairman of the committee, Royal Medical Services Commander Brigadier General Dr Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry’s Municipal Affairs Undersecretary Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, GSA CEO Dr Abdulrahman Askar, BOC secretary general Fares Al Kooheji, Equal Opportunities and Gender Balance in Sports committee chairperson Shaikha Dr Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Information Ministry Undersecretary Yousif Mohammed Al Binkhalil, Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority CEO Sara Ahmed Buhejji, Foreign Affairs Ministry Undersecretary for consular and administrative affairs Dr Isa Nasser Al Nuaimi, Capital Governorate Police Directorate General Director Brigadier Isa Hassan Al Qattan, GSA chairman’s office director general Salem Mohammed Al Otaibi, Finance Ministry assistant undersecretary for financial and budgetary policies Adnan Abdulwahab Ishaq, BOC president’s adviser Mohammed Al Nusuf, Games executive committee chairman, Games executive committee deputy chairman, and Shouf Ghazi Al Malood, rapporteur for the committee’s work.
Article 2
The committee, under the supervision of Shaikh Khalid, shall take all necessary measures to prepare, organise, and host the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain. Each member is tasked with executing their assigned duties and co-operating with other members to ensure the event is hosted successfully in line with the rules, regulations, and instructions governing the Games.
Article 3
The aforementioned individuals and all relevant parties shall implement this decision, each within their capacities, and it shall take effect from the date of its issuance.
