A second-half double from Denzel Dumfries earned Inter Milan a 2-0 win over Atalanta in Riyadh last night to reach the Italian Super Cup final, where the Serie A champions will aim to win the trophy for the fourth successive time.
The first half ended scoreless, mostly thanks to the heroics of Atalanta keeper Marco Carnesecchi, but Inter found the breakthrough four minutes after the break through Dumfries.
He netted his second 12 minutes later and Inter survived some late pressure from Atalanta to see out the win against the current league leaders.
Juventus and AC Milan play in the second semi-final tonight with the final scheduled for Monday.
