His Majesty King Hamad emphasised the importance of equestrian sports in strengthening international relations, fostering cultural exchange, and promoting harmony among people worldwide.
His Majesty was speaking as he received Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak and Spanish Riding School of Córdoba manager Francisco Javier Gómez González at Al Safriya Palace.
González presented His Majesty with an Andalusian horse.
The King expressed appreciation for the gesture, highlighting the beauty of Andalusian horses and their exceptional qualities in dressage competitions.
The minister presented His Majesty with a model of an Arabian horse, designed by Argentine artist Augusto Daniel Gallo, to mark the Bahrain Animal and Agricultural Production Exhibition, Mara’ee 2024.
González expressed gratitude to the King for the reception, commending Bahrain’s renowned Arabian horse stables and its achievements in equestrian sports, which have earned the kingdom many regional and international titles.
