The first academic pharmacist in Bahrain and the Gulf, Rasool Abdulali Al Jishi, died yesterday. Besides his passion for prose and poetry, the late Mr Al Jishi was the first Bahraini to work as an academic pharmacist after completing his higher education at the American University of Beirut (AUB) .
