The 2024 AMH Island Classic charity golf tournament teed off at the private golf course of His Majesty King Hamad in Saffriya today.
The high-profile, three-day golfing event, being held under The King’s patronage aims to raise funds for the community outreach programme of the American Mission Hospital (AMH).
An opening ceremony took place at noon today attended by AMH corporate chief executive and chief medical officer Dr George Cheriyan, along with officials representing sponsors.
GDN Media are playing in the tournament with managing editor Stanley Szecowka joined by NorthStar Telecom managing director Ian Dench, Hannover ReTakaful managing director and chief executive and Hannover Re Bahrain Branch general manager Olaf Brock, and cricketer George Axtell.
