Manama: Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Bahrain is set to host the 16th King Hamad Trophy on November 27-30 at the Royal Golf Club.
A total of 96 amateur and professional golfers from GCC countries, Arab states, and Asian and European nations will compete in the tournament. This year’s participants include highly ranked players and experienced golfers, especially with the tournament now recognised as a ranking event under the global ranking programme.
In coordination with the DP World Tour, the Bahrain Golf Association (BGA) has arranged for the first-place winner of the King Hamad Trophy and the top Bahraini player to qualify for a major global tournament in Bahrain in February. This event will feature elite professional players from the European Tour, known for holding world records.
Organised by the BGA for the 16th consecutive year, the tournament aims to elevate the standard of golf in Bahrain, promote the sport’s growth, and support Bahrain’s sports tourism.
The event, sponsored by Batelco, attracts international participants, providing them with a chance to experience Bahrain’s tourism and sporting advancements and encouraging them to share their positive experiences abroad.
