THE all-new Suzuki Swift has been unveiled by the exclusive distributor of Suzuki vehicles in Bahrain, Mohammad Jalal & Sons, at its newly-restyled Suzuki showroom in the Khamis area.
The launch event was attended by Mohammad Jalal & Sons’ director Ahmed Jalal and the company’s automotive division general manager, Jamal Al Sayed, along with distinguished guests from the Indian subsidiary Maruti Suzuki, including divisional manager, Anil Saini, assistant general manager Anjul Gupta and country manager Arvind Sharma, members of the Suzuki team and media representatives.
The stunning 2024 Suzuki Swift features a cutting-edge 9-inch display, offering an advanced and user-friendly interface that provides easy access to all entertainment and informational features.
Suzuki has once again prioritised safety, incorporating advanced safety systems such as a Driver Attention Monitoring System to enhance driver awareness and a Brake Support System to reduce the risk of accidents. Additionally, the new Swift is equipped with Stability Support Systems to ensure a safe and stable driving experience for drivers.
Speaking exclusively to the GDN, Mr Al Sayed said: “This exciting new model boasts a modern design and unique specifications that cater to drivers of all ages and backgrounds. We invite you to experience the all-new Suzuki Swift and discover its unique features at our newly-renovated showroom in Khamis; one of the oldest ones in Bahrain!”
In addition to its stylish exterior design in a compact size of just 3,860mm long, the Suzuki Swift features excellent visibility, a spacious cabin and ample luggage space. The initial development goal was to create an all new hatchback style that is undoubtedly Suzuki and with all the technology you need.
“The Swift has always been designed to be fun to drive, and the new car is no exception. But in order to respond to people’s diversifying lifestyles, we focused not just on design and driving which have always been Swift strengths – but also on making every aspect of daily life with a Swift more exciting and satisfying. That was the concept that guided our development from the start,” said the Suzuki Swift’s chief engineer, Masao Kobori.
During development of the colour choices for the vehicle, particular attention and effort was given to the formulation of Frontier Blue Pearl Metallic. This shade has a very vivid depth of colour thanks to a new three-layer coating process.
The muscular appearance of the new Swift is further established by blacked-out pillars creating the appearance of a floating roof that adds a sense of lightness, while a high-tech look comes in the form of a piano-black front grille and L-shaped signature lamps that conform to the cars flowing body lines. The LED headlamps have been revised to an inner lens and light rod type that give them a wider appearance when illuminated.
At the rear, the car has a new and distinctive sculpted tailgate with a wide rear bumper design and an integrated rear hatch spoiler and boot side spoilers helping to give the Suzuki Swift a look of balanced stability. The rear combination lamps are also of the same design type as the front and when illuminated, provide a three dimensional appearance.
