ENDURANCE HORSERACING – Bahrain Royal Endurance Team riders Isa Hameed Al Anezi and Salman Isa Al Radhi excelled in their respective races held as part of an international ride in Szilvasvarad, Hungary.
Al Anezi triumphed in the 120-kilometre youth race, while Al Radhi took second place in the 100km seniors’ event.
The pair followed the lead of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Bahrain Royal Endurance Team commander Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who won the 120km seniors’ ride.
Al Anezi competed with his horse Gazelle La Majorie Aa in his win, while Al Radhi rode Genny Des Aubepines to the podium.
Following the results from the international meet, Bahrain Royal Endurance Team manager Dr Khaled Ahmed Hassan confirmed that the leadership of Shaikh Nasser inspired the team to achieve top positions, noting that Shaikh Nasser’s experience and expertise played a key role in achieving the impressive results.
Dr Hassan explained that the team has reached full readiness to participate in the FEI Endurance World Championship for Seniors in France next month.
“This event served as a final preparation for the team, allowing us to meticulously implement the vision and plan set forth by His Highness Shaikh Nasser,” he said.
“Through our participation in a series of European forums, the team has achieved positive results, and our riders have gained valuable experience and exposure.
“The riders of the Royal Endurance Team demonstrated impressive performances in the Hungarian races, solidifying the team’s strong resolve ahead of the world championship.
“I extend my best wishes for success to His Highness Shaikh Nasser and the entire team.”
Dr Hassan also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Hungarian Equestrian Federation for the remarkable efforts it made in organising the race, and the co-operation and co-ordination with the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team in involving a number of Bahraini officials in various committees.
