Princess Rajwa Al Hussein of Jordan and Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II became proud parents, as they welcomed their first child on Saturday morning.
According to the Royal Hashemite Court, Princess Rajwa gave birth to a baby girl, who the couple named Iman. She will receive the titles of Her Royal Highness and Princess accordingly.
Additionally, the Royal Hashemite Court conveyed its "sincere congratulations and best wishes to Their Royal Highnesses and Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on this happy occasion.”
Moreover, the king and queen of Jordan also expressed their joy in becoming grandparents for the first time. King Abdullah II posted on his social media account X, ''Praise be to God who has blessed us with our first granddaughter, Iman, daughter of Al Hussein.’’ The post continued with a heartfelt “Congratulations to Al Hussein and dear Rajwa on the birth of their daughter. We pray to Allah to help her grow up well and protect her for her parents. You’ve brightened our family.”
In a separate post, Queen Rania wrote “Praise be to God for His greatest gifts... You have brightened our lives with our precious granddaughter, Iman. May God protect you for us. Congratulations to Hussein and Rajwa, and may God fill your lives with blessings and contentment.”
The Royal Hashemite Court has shared a heart-warming video of Crown Prince Hussein cradling his newborn, whilst reciting a traditional prayer.
Instead of sending flowers and gifts to the new family, well-wishers were encouraged to donate to the Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans instead.
