FOOTBALL – Bahrain national football team have concluded their training camp in Dubai, held as part of their preparations for the AFC Asian Cup, scheduled to be held from tomorrow to February 10 in Doha.
On the final day of the camp yesterday, Bahrain lost to Angola 3-0 in a friendly held at the Dubai Police Officers Stadium.
The team will travel to Doha today afternoon to prepare for the Asian Cup. Bahrain will play in Group E along with South Korea, Malaysia and Jordan. Their opening clash will be against South Korea on Monday. They will take on Malaysia on January 20 and play Jordan on January 25.
The winners and runners-up of the six groups will advance to the knockout stage along with four best third-placed teams.
Bahrain team member Ali Hassan Saeed said that the players had a productive camp in Dubai, adding that they are ready to achieve positive results at the Asian Cup tournament.
